Terms of service

1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of this website and of Jake Cloud, operated by Jake, a sole trader. By creating a cloud workspace or using this site, you agree to them. Enterprise customers with a signed agreement are governed by that agreement where it conflicts with these terms.
2. The software
Jake is a proprietary platform. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription term. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the software.
3. Jake Cloud
We provide hosted Jake workspaces with the uptime target published on your plan. You retain all rights to the data you and your customers submit (“Customer Data”). You grant us only the rights needed to operate the service: storing, processing, backing up, and displaying Customer Data at your direction.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to send spam, distribute malware, harass people, violate law, or attempt to breach the security of any system. We may suspend workspaces that put other customers or the platform at risk, and will tell you why.
5. Fees
Cloud plans are billed per seat, monthly or annually in advance. You can cancel anytime; paid periods aren't refunded pro-rata unless required by law.
6. Warranty disclaimer
The site and service are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jake's aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Termination
You may close your workspace at any time and export your data beforehand. We may terminate for material breach with notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced at least 14 days before they take effect by email or in-app. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
